STARPHIRE GLASS is glass with less iron content. The change in make up of the glass on a molecular level achieves a more clear or neutral colour of glass. For instance, if a panel of standard float glass and a panel of starphire are both painted white the standard float glass would appear a minty green colour as opposed to the starphire which would create a more true representation of the colour white through the glass material.
FLOAT GLASS is the technical name given to standard non-safety glass.
Picture Frames
2mm Clear Float Glass – diffused/non-reflective glass in which the glass achieves a matte finish. It takes the glare and shiny face away from the glass making it ideal for picture frame glass and therefore not distracting from the picture in the picture frame.
